 PARENT-CHILD EARLY LITERACY CAMP
SUMMER 2024

Do you have a soon to be kindergartener or a 1st grader?

Did you know that learning to manipulate sounds is critical for learning to read?

Don't Wait!

Come and learn different multisensory activities you can implement throughout the summer and during the school year to give your child the strong foundation needed to read.

If you're really good at breaking down words into sounds, knowing what they are, and putting them back together, you've got the basic skill for using the alphabet (Liberman, Shankweiler, & Liberman, 1989; Troia, 2004). But if you don't know about phonemes, which are the different sounds in words, reading can be confusing. You might not understand how the letters on the page match the words you say out loud.
